Nazareth College Athletics

Biochemistry and Philosohpy major... born 04/14/94... son of Steven and Stephanie Leverich, Skaneateles, N.Y... returning for his fourth season, Leverich was among the Golden Flyers' top swimmers in 2015-16... finished 18th in the 500 freestyle at the UNYSCSA/Empire 8 Conference meet (4:51.58), then 23rd in the 1,650 free (17:52.91) and 28th in the 200 freestyle (1:47.89)... also part of four school relay records -- the 200 free relay (1:27.57), the 400 free relay (3:12.69), the 800 free relay (7:05.16) and the 400 medley relay (3:30.26)... recipient of the team Academic Award for having the team's highest GPA for the second year in a row.

2014-15: Leverich represented Nazareth at the UNYS/Empire 8 Conference meet at Webster Aquatic Center and finished 22nd in the 1,650-yard freestyle (17:53.09)... also competed in three relays, finishing eighth in both the 400- and 800-yard free relays and ninth in the 200-yard medley relay... recipient of team Academic Award for having the team's highest GPA.

2013-14: Leverich enjoyed a strong first season with the Golden Flyers in 2013-14... finished 16th in the 1,650-yard freestyle (17:16.69), 21st in the 500 freestyle (4:49.27) and 30th in the 200 freestyle (1:47.80) at the UNYSCSA/Empire 8 Conference meet at Ithaca... also swam as part of the 800 free relay (7:07.73) that finished eighth.

Scholastic: a graduate of Skaneateles High School, Leverich swam independently in the Syracuse area and won Section Three Class C titles in the 200- and 500-yard freestyles in 2013 and was named Swimmer of the Meet... a two-time state meet qualifier (in the 200 free in 2011 and the 500 free in 2012)... also a two-time Central New York all-star... earned Speedo Academic All-American honors from National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association... recipient of numerous awards and honors, including 2013 Cauyga-Onondaga School Board's Outstanding Student Award and the Clarence M. Austin Award for character, scholarship and leadership.
