Nazareth falls to RIT in finale

ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Senior R.C. Weston won the 200 backstroke in 2:05.63 and was Nazareth's only individual winner Saturday in men's swimming and diving as the Golden Flyers closed out their regular season with a 180-98 loss at RIT. Nazareth won the women's meet, 158-139 to finish 9-0.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Senior Rob Wortel and freshman Mike Bidwell each won two events and swam on a winning relay Saturday as host Nazareth recorded its first victory of the season in men's swimming and diving, topping Utica, 183-74. The Golden Flyers also swam against St. Lawrence and lost by a close score of 135-120.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Host Nazareth broke school records in both the 200 medley and 200 freestyle relays Sunday in men's swimming and diving, but Hartwick used superior depth to defeat the Golden Flyers, 170-109. Nazareth improved to 6-0 by winning the women's meet, 170-121, as freshman Carissa Risucci broke two records.

FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Host Fredonia won 10 of the 13 events Saturday in a men's swimming and diving meet and the Blue Devils went on to defeat the Golden Flyers, 148-87, in the first of two meets for Nazareth this weekend. Nazareth hosts Hartwick Sunday at 1 p.m. The Golden Flyers defeated Fredonia in the women's meet, 136-106.
