Gabbie Charles scored a career- best four goals and senior
Haley DeVona also scored four times for Nazareth Tuesday as the Golden Flyers recorded their first women's lacrosse victory of the season with a 15-9 triumph over Westfield State in a game played at the National Training Center.
Nazareth improved to 1-2 overall. Westfield State is 2-1.

Kate Rothrock contributed three goals and three assists and junior
Katie Carroll also scored three times. Senior
Jamie Martin also had a goal. Senior
Leah Marvin and sophomore
Kellie Byrne each had assists.
Nicole DeVona had six draw controls and a pair of caused turnovers.
Sophomore
Brianna Rizzari started in goal and had three saves while yielding three goals in 40 minutes. Junior
Mackenzie Corbett had five saves over the final 20 minutes.
Nazareth scored the first six goals of the game, including two by
Haley DeVona, to dominate early and went on to a 7-3 halftime lead. The Golden Flyers then started the second half by scoring six of the first seven goals to go up 13-4. The first four goals came inthe first seven minutes, with Carroll scoring twice.
Nazareth plays again Thursday at 12 p.m. against Western New England at the same venue.
