SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- Freshman #
Taylor Pierson# turned in a sixth-place finish in the long jump Friday as Nazareth competed in the ECAC Division III track and field championships at Springfield College.
Pierson's leap of 5.62 meters was the equivalent of 18 feet, 5 1/4 inches, just shy of her school-record leap of 5.63 meters (18 feet, 5 1/2 inches) earlier this spring. Pierson now hopes that distance will be good enough to qiualify her for the NCAA Division III Championship meet May 23-25 at LaCrosse, Wis. Pierson placed 10th in the long jump at the national meet during the indoor season.

Hannah Brackley#, who placed 12th in the 400-meter dash (:58.72); senior #
Keaghlan Morrissey#, who placed 20th in the 400-meter hurdles (1:06.83); and sophomore #
Michaela Gildemeyer#, who placed 29th in the 800-meter run (2:20.75).
Junior #
Jake Lafaver# competed in the 800-meter run for the men's team and finished 11th with a time of 1:54.48.
