CAZENOVIA, N.Y. -- Nazareth's women's volleyball team cruised to a pair of victories Friday on the first day of the Dig Pink Invitational at Cazenovia as the Golden Flyers improved to 18-6 overall. Nazareth swept New Jersey City University in three sets by scores of 25-7, 25-11, 25-12. The Golden Flyers also dominated Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in three sets 25-18, 25-12, 25-18.
The Golden Flyers play twice Saturday -- against Cazenovia at 11 a.m. and against Keystone at 1:30 p.m.
Junior
Olivia Harrigan had seven kills in 10 swings against NJCU and freshman
Brianna Spears had 10 assists. Juniors
Maria Allocco and
Chelsea Beecher each had four service aces.
Harrigan had 12 kills in the MCLA match and sophomore
Jennifer Hicks had nine kills in 14 attempts. Thayer amassed 17 assists.
