ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Host Nazareth broke school records in both the 200 medley and 200 freestyle relays Sunday in men's swimming and diving, but Hartwick used superior depth to defeat the Golden Flyers, 170-109. Nazareth improved to 6-0 by winning the women's meet, 170-121, as freshman Carissa Risucci broke two records.

In the men's meet, Nazareth's foursome of R.C. Weston, Mike Bidwell, Jacob Kline and Rob Wortel broke both relay records. The led off the meet by winning the 200-meter medley relay in a time of 1:52.17, breaking the pool record of 1:52.35 set by LeMoyne in 2007.

The meet ended with the same foursome breaking the 200-meter freestyle relay record with a winning time of 1:41.11, breaking the school record that stood since 1998 and the pool record held by RIT since 2002.

Kline, a freshman, also won two other events. He captured the 50-meter freestyle in :25.26 and the 100-meter butterfly in 1:00.32. Wortel won the 100-meter freestyle in :57.10 as he touched out Hartwick's Lydon Schultz, who swam :57.15. Weston finished first in the 200-meter backstroke in 2:17.99.

Hartwick's Michael Phillips also broke two pool records, including one that stood for 28 years. His time of 2:29.65 in the 200-meter breaststroke was slightly better than the 2:29.91 turned in by Alfred's Howard Seidman in 1982. He also broke the record in the 200-meter IM with a time of 2:14.23.

In the women's meet, Risucci broke both breaststroke records. She won the 100-meter breaststroke in 1:16.27, bettering the time of 1:16.34 turned in by Aubrey Kirchoff in 2006. She later shaved more than five secondds off the record in the 200-meter breaststroke with a winning time of 2:44.22, better than the 2:49.64 by LeMoyne's Nicole Murphy in 2008.

Freshman McKenna Murphy also won two individual events for the Golden Flyers and swam on the winning 200-meter free relay. She won the 200 fly (2:34.08) and the 400 free (4:46.14). She also teamed with Jaclyn Conklin, Rachael Phipps and Holly Gilligan in the relay with a school-record time of 1:54.34.
