ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Freshman
Jacob Kline turned in a first-place finish in the 100 butterfly Saturday to lead Nazareth during the second day of competition at the Don Richards Invitational hosted by RIT.
Kline posted a winning time of :52.88, narrowly missing the school record of :52.68. Nazareth was in sixth place in the team standings with 310 points.
Other top finishers included senior
R.C. Weston, who fourth in the 200 backstroke (2:04.36) and third int he 100 backstroke (:55.88); Kline, who was fourth in the 100 freestyle (:48.52); and senior #Rob Wortel, who was fifth in the 200 freestyle (1:49.93).
In the women's meet, senior
Lauren McKinney finished first in the 200-yard butterfly and second in the 100-yard butterfly as the Golden Flyers had a secure hold on second place in the team standings with 602 points, behind only Ithaca with 693. LeMoyne was a distant third with 514.
McKinney took the 200 fly during the morning swim with a time of 2:09.24. She also posted an NCAA B-cut qualifying time in the 100 fly by finishing second with a time of :58.49. McKinney also swam on Nazareth's winning 800-yard freestyle relay team which finished first in 8:03.30.

McKenna Murphy and
Jaclyn Conklin also swam.
Freshman
Carissa Risucci finished first in the 200 breaststroke and also posted an NCAA B-cut time of 2:22.97. Risucci was second in the 100 breaststroke in 1:07.74.
Other top finishers for Nazareth were sophomore
Rachael Phipps, who second in the 100 freestyle (:54.19); senior #Lindsey Buzard, who was second in 3-meter diving (346.40); Muprhy, who was second in the 200 freestyle (1:57.95); and senior
Erin Rappold, who was second in the 500 freestyle (4:53.15).
Nazareth also swam second in the 200 free relay with the team of
Holly Gilligan, Phipps, Murphy and Conklin. Time was 1:41.74.
