Lebanon, PA. (nazathletics.com) – Nazareth's men's golf team teed off for the fourth and final round of the Empire 8 Conference Championships on Monday at Lebanon Country Club. They entered the final 18 holes in 3rd place overall, and they managed to hold onto that spot from start to finish. The Golden Flyers turned in a round-4 score of +35, the third lowest in the field on Monday. Their combined score through 72 total holes was +127. Nazareth managed to hold off Utica (+136), SUNY Oswego (+140) and SUNY Canton (+140), who were all making runs for the podium in the late stages of the tournament. However, the Golden Flyers fell just short of passing second-place Russell Sage (+124) who ended the Conference Championship tournament just 3 strokes better. Lebanon, PA. (nazathletics.com) – Nazareth's men's golf team fielded 6 players at Lebanon Country Club on day one of the Spring half of the Empire 8 Championship. Nazareth closed out the Fall portion of the tournament that took place in October in 3rd place, and their scores from this weekend's event in Lebanon will be counted on top of where they finished in Rome, New York 6 months ago. Led by freshman Jack Fesetch, The Golden Flyers placed 4th on the day and stayed put in 3rd overall through 3 rounds. They accumulated a team score of +39 on Sunday, raising their three-round total to +92. Nazareth will enter the 4th and final round looking to hold off SUNY Oswego, who sit just 5 strokes back and achieved the best score on Sunday.
