Nazareth College Athletics

Nursing major... born 8/5/98... son of Mike and Elizabeth Ely, Rochester, N.Y... competing in his first season for the Golden Flyers, Ely contributed during the indoor season, in addition to cross country ...  ran top time of 53.14 in the 400 at the Ithaca Bomber Invitational and 1:59.23 in the 800 at the Brockport Golden Eagle Invitational ... during the cross country season, ran top time of 28:38.40 over 8-kilometers at the Mike Woods Invite.

Scholastic: a graduate of Palmyra-Macedon High School, Ely was a member of the cross country and track and field teams there... won Finger Lakes League outdoor titles in the 400- and 800-meter races as well as the 4 x 400- and 4 x 800-meter relays... also a two-time Section Five champion in the 800-meter run... finished third at the indoor state meet in the 600-meter run (1:22.59) ... competed for the Nazareth cross country team in 2016, with a top 8K time of 28:38.4 at the Mike Woods Invitational.
