Nazareth College Athletics

Sociology major... born 2/16/93... son of Edwin and Kathy Sippie, Toms River, N.J... returning for his second track and field season for the Golden Flyers, Sippie narrowly missed qualifying for the NCAA meet during the 2015 outdoor season after winning both the Empire 8 and NYSCTC titles in the 400-meter dash, topping out with a time of :48.27... also helped Nazareth set a school record in winning the 4 x 400-meter title at the NYSCTC meet with a winning time of 3:18.42 at St. Lawrence... competed for the Golden Flyers during the 2015 indoor season and set school records in the 200- and 400-meter dashes with times of :22.16 and :48.71 respectively before suffering a leg injury that ended his indoor season... finished first in the 400 at the Empire 8 Conference meet at Houghton on 2/14/15... part of record-setting relays -- the 4 x 200-meter relay (1:33.77) and the 4 x 400-meter relay (3:24.95) .

2014: a transfer to Nazareth from Lynchburg College, Sippie enjoyed considerable success there in 2013-14 as he captured the NCAA Division III indoor title in the 400-meter dash in March 2014 with a personal-best time of :47.86... also a five-time first-team all-conference performer in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference and a four-time second-team performer... also qualified for the national meet during the outdoor season with a time of :47.84 in the 400, but did not place due to an injury... has also run :21.78 in the 200-meter dash outdoors... competed in the 60-meter dash (7.35) and 500-meter dash (1:08.97) during the indoor season and the pole vault (12 feet, 5 1/2 inches), long jump (19 feet, 2 1/2 inches), javelin (94 feet, 10 inches) and discus (77 feet, 8 inches) during the outdoor season... named ODAC Rookie of the Year for the indoor season in 2013.

Scholastic: a graduate of Toms River South High School, Sippie competed in cross country and track there... helped track team to Group 4 state title in 2010.
