Nazareth College Athletics

Visual Communications major... born 6/23/94... returning for his third season, Gayle had a strong indoor season as he finished first in the triple jump at both the Empire 8 Conference meet at Houghton (2/14/14) and at the NYSCTC meet at RIT (2/28/15)... best jump of the season was 13.86 meters (45 feet, 5 3/4 inches) at RIT... performed well for the Golden Flyers in 2014 as he broke his own school outdoor record in the triple jump with a leap of 44 feet, 6 1/4 inches at Nazareth on 4/12/14... finished third at the Empire 8 Outdoor meet with a jump of 43 feet, 1 3/4 inches... named E8 Field Athlete of the Week for 4/14/14... best jump indoors was 13.37 meters (43 feet, 10 1/2 inches) in the triple jump at the NYSCTC Championships and 5.71 meters (18 feet, 9 inches) in the long jump at the Empire 8 Conference meet... placed fifth in the triple jump at the E8 meet with a distance of 13.12 meters (43 feet, 0 1/2 inch).

2013: Gayle enjoyed a strong first season for the Golden Flyers as he set school records both indoor and outdoor in the triple jump and won Empire 8 Conference titles in both... jumped 46 feet, 9 1/2 inches at Cornell on 12/1/12 for the indoor mark and 42 feet, 9 3/4 inches at St. John Fisher on 4/27/13... has also jumped 20 feet, 3 3/4 inches in the long jump.

Scholastic: a graduate of Skaneateles High School, Gayle was a member of the football and track teams there... was a two-time Central New York all-star in track and was named Track Athlete of the Year by the Auburn Citizen in 2012... a state qualifier in the triple jump for both indoors and outdoors... also won Section Three titles in the long jump and triple jump.
