Physical Therapy major... born 10/21/92... daughter of Mark and Susan Kobel, Bergen, N.Y... returning for her fourth season, Kobel posted top times in 2012-13 in the 50 freestyle (:25.39) and the 100 butterfly (1:01.58)... placed 20th in the 100 fly and 19th in the 100 freestyle (:55.08) at the UNYSCSA/Empire 8 Conference Championships in Ithaca... also swam as part of four top relays... finished third in the 400 medley relay (3:56.56); fourth in the 400 free relay (3:36.45) and fifth in the 200 free relay (1:40.08)...
2011-12: back for her third season, Kobel posted time of :55.08 to finish 21st in the 100 freestyle at the UNYSCSA/Empire 8 Conference meet… also finished 19th in the 50 freestyle (:25.70) and 23rd in the 100 butterfly (1:04.39)…
2010-11: Kobel competed for the Golden Flyers at the UNYSCSA/Empire 8 Conference meet and placed 10th in the 100-yard butterfly, 10th in the 50-yard freestyle and 13th in the 100-yard freestyle...
Scholastic: a graduate of Byron-Bergen High Central, Kobel competed in swimming, soccer and tennis there... was a four-year standout in swimming as she earned team MVP honors and Genesee Region all-star honors... helped team to Genesee Region title in 2009... holds league record in the 50 freestyle... recipient of NYSPHSAA Scholar-Athlete award... member of National Honor Society and National Technical Honor Society... recipient of Jenny Kuzma Memorial Award, Byron-Bergen Faculty Scholarship and Sports Boosters Scholarship.
