Biography
History major with concentration in Inclusive Education... born 2/28/93... daughter of Joe and Katie Dorschel, Rochester, N.Y... returning for her fourth season, Dorschel did not swim at the conference meet in 2013-14 due to injury.
2012-13: Dorschel swan well for Nazareth in distance freestyle... placed 11th in the 1,650 freestyle (18:20.57); 12th in the 500 freestyle (5:18.50) and 19th in the 200 freestyle (1:58.60) at the UNYSCSA/Empire 8 Conference meet... also swam in the 800 free relay that finished fifth (7:54.32).
2011-12: Dorschel swam well for the Golden Flyers… competed at the UNYSCSA/Empire 8 Conference meet and placed 11th in the 1,650 freestyle (18:27.93), 13th in the 500 freestyle (5:15.76) and 15th in the 200 freestyle (1:59.71)… also swam on the 800 free relay that finished fifth (7:56.43).
: a graduate of Greece Athena, Dorschel was a member of the varsity swim team for six seasons... recognized as the team MVP and the Division Three Swimmer of the Year in 2010… won the 500 freestyle in 2009 Section Five Class B meet... also earned the Top Newcomer Award and received the Greece Teachers Association Scholarship.
