Biography
Mathematics major... born 04/12/91... son of Calvin and Paulette Schierer, Fillmore, N.Y... returning for his fourth track and field season, Schierer finished fourth in the 400-meter dash (:52.38) at the Empire 8 Conference Indoor Meet on 1/26/13... placed 10th in the same event (:52.51) and 14th in 200-meter dash (:23.92) at the NYSCTC Indoor Meet on 2/22/13...
2012: Schierer competed for the Golden Flyers both indoors and outdoors in 2012... finished fourth in the 400-meter dash (:52.04) at the E8 indoor meet and placed seventh in the same event (:51.58) outdoors... also placed ninth in the 500-meter dash (1:09.03) at the NYSCTC indoor meet and 14th in the 400-meter dash (:51.57) at the NYSCTC outdoor meet... earned first-team all-conference honors as part of the 4 x 400-meter relay team that placed first in 3:29.27 indoors.
2011: finished 12th in the 400-meter dash (:54.02) at the Empire 8 Outdoor meet in 2011 and 17th in the same event (:52.93) at the NYSCTC Outdoor meet.
Scholastic: a graduate of Fillmore Central, Schierer competed in volleyball and track there... was track team captain for two seasons and twice earned team MVP honors... captured the Section Five Class D title in the 400-meter dash in 2008 and 2009.
