The victory was the first of the season for the Golden Flyers, who will visit D'Youville Saturday with a 1-2 overall record.

Wednesday's game was scoreless until the 27th minute when freshman Josh Crespo converted a penalty kick for his first career goal and a 1-0 Nazareth lead.

About six minutes later, junior AJ Muoio, who subbed into the game a few minutes earlier, netted his first goal of the season off an assist from senior Mitchell Fors.

The second half was less than three minutes along when the Golden Flyers scored again with freshman Tristan Custer scoring for the first time with an assist from another first-year player, Max Staniec. Six freshmen were in the starting lineup for the Golden Flyers and five more saw action off the bench.
