ONEONTA, N.Y. – Nazareth gave undefeated Baldwin Wallace (10-0) all it could handle Friday in a five set thriller, as the Golden Flyers fell 18-25, 25-20, 25-19, 20-25, 7-15 in the first contest of the Hartwick Invitational.
With the loss, Nazareth drops to 6-3 on the season. The Golden Flyers will be back in action on Saturday for two matches, beginning with Oneonta at 11 a.m, followed by King's College at 1 p.m.
After falling in the opening set, Nazareth stormed back to win the next two sets.
Freshman
Jessica Barry had four kills on a .308 attack percentage and dished out 35 assists in the loss.
Kelsey Milligan led the team with 11 kills on 29 attempts, while also contributing three blocks.
Savannah Bothner paced Nazareth with 15 digs. Junior
Celia Cordero was also in double-digits for digs, as she was credited with 11.
Melissa Newcomb was credited with eight kills on a .294 attack percentage.
