ROCHESTER, NY – The Nazareth track and field squads were in action again on Saturday in Rochester, this time for the St. John Fisher College Cardinal Classic.
On the women's side,
Emily Soeder jumped to a fifth place finish in the high jump at 1.52 meter (4 feet, 11 ¾ inches).
Claire Ludington was 14
th in the 1500-meter run (5:01.96), while Eilen Shea was 16
th in the 800 (2:30.17).
Karly Keil was 22
nd in the 400 with a time of 1:03.88.
Cassie Ellis rounded out the day with a 28.21 in the 200 for 27
th place.
Jacob Murray ran a personal-best time of 2:00.86 in the 800-meter run to finish in 10
th place. Jack Wessel wasn't far behind, clocking a 2:02.03 for 14
th place.
In the 200, Jenoy Merchant ran 23.70 for 19
th place.
Also competing on the men's side was Tom Lannon who was 61
st in the 1500 in a time of 4:31.86.
Jake Garbeck had a toss of 40.87 meters (134 feet, 1 inch) for a 12
th place finish in the javelin throw.
Nazareth returns to action on May 5-6 for the NYSCTC Championships back at St. John Fisher.
