ELMIRA, N.Y. -- Freshman Ian Brotherton was Nazareth's top finisher Tuesday as the Golden Flyers' men's golf team competed at the Elmira Spring Invitational at Elmira Country Club.

Nazareth finished third in the team standings of the eight-team event with a stroke total of 339. Daemen (321) and Oswego (326) finished in front of the Golden Flyers.

Brotherton carded a 10-over-par score of 82 to finish in fifth place individually. Freshman Jordan Holley was one shot back with an 83. Other Nazareth competitors were sophomore Dominic Cicchetti (86, tied for 17th); senior Jonathan Gerken (88, tied for 20th); and sophomore David Powlowski (88, tied for 20th).

Nazareth closes out its spring season at the Oswego Invitational over the weekend.

Three members of the Nazareth women's team competed in the women's invitational at Elmira. Katherine Babuka shot 96 to finish sixth individually. Olivia Dowdle (109) and Lacey Rezucha (112) also competed.
