ELMIRA -- Nazareth's men's volleyball team, ranked 11th nationally, split a pair of non-conference matches Friday at Elmira' Speidel Gymnasium. The Golden Flyers, 8-5 overall, were swept by 15th-ranked Lasell by scores of 25-20, 25-15, 26-24 before rebounding to sweep Southern Vermont by scores of 25-14, 25-11, 25-10.
Nazareth opens its United Volleyball Conference schedule Saturday at home against MIT at 11 a.m. and against Bard at 4 p.m. Bard and MIT play in between at 1:30.
The Golden Flyers dominated Southern Vermont behind eight kills from sophomore
