Nazareth Offense Clicks In 6-1 Defeat Over Brockport

Rochester, NY – Junior Jessica Livesey scored a hat trick as the Nazareth offense found its rhythm in a 6-1 rout of Brockport Tuesday on the Artificial Turf.
 
The win for Nazareth snaps an 11-game losing streak.  The Golden Flyers now improve to 2-13 overall, while Brockport drops to 3-12.
 
The Golden Flyers generated some strong offensive pressure in the first half, eventually getting on the board at the 25 minute mark.  Natalie L'Hommedieu scored her second goal of the season, after putting home an initial shot from Livesey.
 
Nazareth, which had seven penalty corners in the first half, converted another opportunity with a minute to play in the period.  Emily Prescott centered a pass from the endline that Livesey fired into the net to make it 2-0 at the break.
 
The Golden Flyers were credit with 14 shots in the half, compared to four for the Golden Eagles.
 
Less than two minutes into the second, Livesey scored for the second time on a strong set of passing to make it 3-0. Madison Bianchi carried the ball into the offensive zone, finding Hilts, who launched a pass to Livesey for the goal.
 
Just :34 seconds later, Jennifer Hilts followed up her initial shot and found the back of the net on a second-chance effort, making it 4-0.
 
Following a Brockport goal, Livesey found the net for the third time, scoring off an assist from her sister, Alexandra Livesey.  That goal made it 5-1 with 11 minutes remaining.
 
Leah Good got in on the action for Nazareth with less than five minutes to play on a shot from 10-yards out to close out the scoring.
 
Kimber Nourse picked up the win in net with nine saves.
 
Nazareth closes out its home schedule Saturday, hosting SUNY Geneseo at 12 p.m. for the Golden Flyers senior game.
