ROCHESTER, NY – Visiting Houghton scored two late goals in the first half and added a pair in the second to defeat Nazareth 4-0 Friday under the lights at the Artificial Turf.
Nazareth drops to 1-12 overall and 0-6 in conference play with the loss, while Houghton moves to 7-7 and 3-3, respectively.
Jennifer Hilts generated two early shots for Nazareth, the second coming at the seven minute mark. She collected a pass from 15-yards out, lifting it in the air just wide of the net.
Sierra Kennedy scored her first of two goals in the game with eight minutes remaining in the first half. Alyson Demerchant fired a shot that
Emily Prescott made a defensive save on, before Kennedy was able to clean up the garbage.
The Highlanders struck again with under three minutes to play in the half off an unassisted goal from Sydney Jameson.
It was 2-0 at the break.
Kennedy scored her second of the day at 45:30 and Jameson added her second at the 65 minute mark to round out the scoring.
Kimber Nourse made 11 saves in net.

Houghton finished with a 7-5 edge in penalty corners.
Nazareth returns to action on Sunday, hosting Oneonta at 2 p.m.
