CLIFTON SPRINGS, NY – The Nazareth women's golf team completed 36 holes over the weekend at the William Smith Invitational, hosted at Clifton Springs Country Club. Nazareth turned in an 8
th place finish with a two day total of 861 (+285), edging out St. John Fisher at 886 (+310).
Ithaca was the overall champion with a 665 (+89), followed by St. Lawrence - 682 (+106), Hamilton - 689 (+113), Union - 701 (+125), William Smith - 744 (+168), Keuka 762 - (+186), and Elmira - 789 (+213).
Katherine Babuka saw the biggest jump from round 1 to round 2, going from a 104 on Saturday to a 96 on Sunday. She finished with a 200 (+56) to earn a tie for 33
rd place.
Fellow Freshman
Natalie Farr saw an improvement as well over the two days to finish in a tie for 37
th place. She shot a 108 on Saturday and a 103 on Sunday for a two round score of 211 (+67).
Olivia Dowdle was not far behind, finishing in 39
th place with a two-day score of 217 (+73).
Kayla Page went rounds of 113 and 120 for a 233 (+89), good for 44
th place.
Lacey Rezucha also competed for Nazareth with a 238 (+94) for 48
th place.
Nazareth returns to action on October 1/2 for the Empire 8 Championship, hosted at the Country Club of Ithaca.
