Nazareth won its third straight to improve to 7-2 overall and 2-0 in conference play. Fisher dropped to 4-5 overall and 1-1 in the E8. Nazareth senior

He has a team-high 61 points this season on 27 goals and 34 assists and now has 313 career points (168 goals, 145 assists) to give him one more point than Hall of Famer Bill Coons amassed from 1986 through 1989. Earlier in the season, Wooters broke the career goal record that was held by Marty Kelly since 1992. All of Wooters' points Saturday came in the first half. His third assist of the day and record-breaking point came with 8:10 left in the second quarter on a goal by
Troy Haefele.

Paul Walter, who scored a game-high four goals; Haefele, who had three goals and two assists; and freshman
Anthony Basile, who scored three goals and added one assist. Sophomore
Cameron Fry and junior
Nick Arnold also scored twice each.
Nazareth built a solid 8-4 advantage in the first half, but the Golden Flyers were hindered a bit by five first-half penalties. Walter and Haefele each scored twice in the third quarter, while Fry and
Nick Loscalzo also contributed unassisted tallies.
Basile scored all three of his goals in the fourth quarter as the lead continued to swell. Freshmen
Jack Crowley and
Parker Deuley also scored as did sophomore
Chris Murphy.
Fisher, meanwhile, managed just 11 shots in the second half to Nazareth's 34. Junior
Michael Cuciti started in goal for Nazareth and played into the fourth quarter and made eight saves. Senior
Scott Brown came in to make three more saves.
Nazareth is home again Wednesday for another Empire 8 Conference game against Alfred at 4 p.m.
