ROCHESTER, NY – The Nazareth men's lacrosse team saw 13 different players find the back of the net en route to a 25-1 win over visiting Houghton College Tuesday.  Sophomore Nick Rodin scored a career-high four goals and added three assists to lead the way.

Nazareth moves to 11-3 overall and 6-1 in Empire 8 play with the win, while Houghton falls to 3-10 and 0-6, respectively.

Nazareth's offense started strong from the get-go, scoring five goals in the first five minutes.  Luke Wooters had back-to-back tallies :16 seconds apart to give Nazareth a 4-0 advantage.

Nazareth's lead ballooned to 8-0 after the first quarter with goals from Paul Walter, Troy Haefele, Connor McKercher and Jack Crowley. It was McKercher's first goal of the season.

Anthony Basile had a two goal second quarter, including scoring with less than :01 second remaining in the half.  Crowley added two more to push his goal total to three, while Rodin and Michael May lit the lamp.

The Golden Flyers won all 15 faceoffs in the half and held a 14-0 advantage at the break.

Nazareth scored four more goals to start out the second half - Michael May got an assist from his brother Matthew.

The Highlanders eventually got on the board midway through the third to break the scoreless drought, making it 18-1.

Nazareth scored a man-down goal, starting with a caused turnover by Keanan O'Brien, followed by a Rodin goal.

Crowley added three goals and two assists in the game, while Wooters tallied two goals and two helpers. Walter, Basile, Michael May, and Matthew May all finished with two goals.

Scott Brown earned the win in net in 10:54 of action.     

Nazareth returns to action on Friday when it will travel to Herkimer College for non-conference action against Western New England.  The game time is set for 6 p.m.
