SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY – The Nazareth volleyball team completed the weekend sweep on Saturday downing host Skidmore in straight sets 25-20, 25-18, 27-25, before knocking of The Sage Colleges in four sets, 23-25, 25-15, 25-15, 25-12.  The Golden Flyers downed Cortland 3-1 on Friday night.

Melissa Newcomb was named Tournament MVP, while Cady Messmer and Kelsey Milligan were tabbed to the All-Tournament team.

Nazareth improves to 13-5 overall and is now riding a four-game win streak.

Nazareth had an impressive showing in its opening match hitting .298 in the contest with 40 kills on 104 attempts, with just nine errors.  The Golden Flyers had no errors in the first set.

After cruising in the first two sets, Nazareth had to stave off a late rally from the Thoroughbreds who evened the game at 24-24.
