Updated statsMARCY, N.Y. -- Fourth-ranked Nazareth won two more matches Saturday at the SUNY Polytechnic Tournament to run their overall record to 4-0 after one weekend of play. Nazareth downed Wentworth Institute and Sage in four sets each. Scores against Wentworth were 25-21, 25-23, 22-25, 25-20. Scores against Sage were 25-22, 25-15, 18-25, 25-11. Nazareth also defeated Elms and Kean Friday.
Freshman
Zachary Gillard, who amassed 30 kills and a .533 hitting percentage with four service aces in four weekend matches, was named the tournament co-MVP along with Vassar's Matthew Knigge.
Senior
Tim Zyburt dominated as an outside hitter against Wentworth as he had a team-high 14 kills with three hitting errors on 32 attempts. He also contributed seven digs. Seniors
Grant Levermore and
Chris Mahan each had nine kills and senior
Josh Hieb added six more. Nazareth his a solid .262 for the match on 99 attack attempts.
Sophomore setter
Jake Kemp had 36 assists and
Tom Keisling had 11 digs. Levermore had three service aces.
Against Sage, Hieb had 12 kills on 15 attempts and senior
Coulton Every totaled 11 kills and nine blocks. Gillard had seven kills and freshman
Trevor Gooch added six. Sophomore

Jacob Gleason took turns setting and each finished with 14 assists.
Nazareth returns to action next weekend at the Kean Invitational with matches against Rutgers-Newark, Baruch and Marymount.
