St. Lawrence Top Women's Soccer In Battle of Unbeatens

Box Score CANTON N.Y- The nationally-ranked Nazareth College women's soccer team fell for the first time this season in a battle of unbeaten squads as host St. Lawrence came up with a 1-0 victory.  It was the first time this season that the Golden Flyers failed to find the back of the net. 

With the win, the Saints improve to 6-0 overall, while No. 13 Nazareth moves to 4-1-1.

The Saints managed to get the edge early on, scoring just five minutes into the contest.  Katie Stames found the back of the net for St. Lawrence in the fifth minute in what would prove to be the game-winning goal.

Nazareth's best half of play came in the opening stanza as the Golden Flyers mustered seven shots.  In the second half, the Golden Flyers managed just one shot.

Allison Dobles registered six saves in net for Nazareth.

Rachel Dise had two shots on goal in the game.

The Golden Flyers return to action on Saturday when it will travel to Clarkson University for a 1 p.m contest.
