ResultsARMONK, N.Y. -- Nazareth's men's golf team was in action over the weekend at the SUNY Delhi Invitational at Brynwood Country Club. The Golden Flyers placed third in the four-team, two-day event on a par-72 layout.
Seniors
Andrew Lund and
Daniel Strack each finished in a tie for 11th place individually. Lund was within two shots of the lead after shooting 81 Saturday. He followed that up with 91 on Sunday to finish tied for 11th. Strack had rounds of 89 and 83 for a 172 total.
Other Nazareth competitors included sophomore
Jonathan Gerken (93-81 -- 173); junior
Caleb McGuire (89-93 -- 182) and junior
Sean de Herder (91-91 -- 182).
Nazareth had scores of 350 and 346 for a two-day total of 696. SUNY Delhi won the event with rounds of 321 and 317 for a 638 total. Cody Homer of Delhi took medalist honors with rounds of 79 and 77 for a 156 total.
