Updated StatsHOBOKEN, N.J. – The Nazareth College men's soccer team closed out their 2015 season Saturday falling 6-0 to tenth-ranked Stevens Institute of Technology. The Ducks registered three goals in each half.
Joe Cellitti scored his first goal of the season at the 10 minute mark to give the host Ducks a 1-0 advantage.
Stevens opened up a 3-0 lead after Collin Phillips netted his eighth and ninth goals of the season just over three minutes apart. His first tally came at the 24:08 mark and his second was at 27:39.
Phillips was at it again in the second half, netting his third of the game in the 51
st.Daniel Knight notched two late goals for Stevens to close out the scoring.
Nazareth was outshot 28-4 in the contest.
Lucas Bennett had two shots for the Golden Flyers.
Nate Ripic earned 12 saves in net for Nazareth.
Nazareth finishes the season with an 0-15-1 record and 0-6-1 mark in Empire 8 play. Stevens ends the regular season with a 13-3-2 record overall and 5-0-2 mark in conference play.
