Women's ResultsLETCHWORTH, N.Y. – The Nazareth cross country teams competed Saturday at the Mike Woods Invitational held at Letchworth State Park, with the women finishing in 20
th place and the men taking 31
st. Letchworth State Park is also the site of the NCAA Atlantic Regionals on November 14.
On the women's side, Nazareth finished with 565 points, 13 better than St. John Fisher College.
Gabrielle LeBihan led the way for Nazareth finishing the 6-kilometer course in a time of 23:13.1 (57
th place).
Kimmy Lovett was next in line for the Golden Flyers at 23:26.8 (71
st place).
Robin Wagner raced to a time of 24:21.1 (127
th place), while
Jamie DiSalvo was close behind at 24:27.2 (137
th place).
Eileen Shea rounded out the scoring for Nazareth after clocking a 25:35.8 for 173
rd place.
For the men, Nazareth finished with 991 points as senior Patrick Neureuter set the pace, clocking a 27:24.7 (163
rd place) over the 8-Kilometer course. Just over ten seconds separated Matt Battaglia 27:54.3 (192
nd place) and Kevin Witt, 28:06.4 (196
th place). Jack Wessel recorded a 28:19.3 (205
th place) and Jacob Murray was the fifth finisher at 29:52.3 (235
th place).
The Geneseo cross country squads won on both the men's and women's side with the men compiling 42 points and the women 56.
Nazareth returns to action next weekend for the Carnegie Melon Invitational at Schenley Park.
