ROCHESTER, N.Y – The Nazareth College women's soccer team hosted East Avenue rival St. John Fisher Tuesday, defeating the Cardinals by a score of 3-0 for the third consecutive season.

The Golden Flyers improve to 11-2-2 overall and 5-1-1 in conference play, while the Cardinals move to 5-9-1 and 2-5-0, respectively.

Nazareth took advantage of a corner kick in the 21st minute.  Following a short corner kick, Erin Strollo launched a shot from 30-yards out, hitting off the bottom of the crossbar and into the net.  It was Strollo's first career goal, while  Laura Herman was credited with the assist.

The score remained 1-0 at the half.

The Golden Flyers made it 2-0 less than four minutes into the second half as Briana Vibbard notched her team-leading 7th goal.  The senior stole the ball outside of the box and fired it into the upper left corner.

Vibbard was at it again shortly after, playing a cross from the left side, allowing Michaela Soules to tap-in from the 6-yard box.

Allison Dobles notched six saves in net for her sixth shutout of the season.

Nazareth returns to action on Saturday when it will host Ithaca College for a 12 p.m. contest.  It marks a rematch of the 2014 Empire 8 final.  Following a 0-0 tie, Nazareth advanced 4-3 on penalty kicks to earn the automatic berth into the NCAAA Division III Tournament.
