Updated StatsAURORA, N.Y. – The Nazareth College field hockey squad went on the road Wednesday to earn a 2-1 come-from-behind victory over Wells College in overtime.
Nazareth has now won two straight games, improving to 6-8 on the season, while Wells falls to 3-9.
Neither team could find the net in the opening half as the Express outshot the Golden Flyers 7-1.
Wells broke the scoreless tie five minutes into the second half on a goal from Logan Vincent.
Nazareth came out re-energized in the second and eventually broke through as
Gabrielle DiSanto scored for the second consecutive game off an assist from
Catherine Willard.
The Golden Flyers outshot Wells 8-2 in the stanza but the squads needed overtime to determine the winner.
In overtime, Willard came through for Nazareth at 76:17, scoring her 12
th goal of the season. It was Willard's third game-winning goal of the year and second in overtime.

Lauren Devine made her second consecutive start in net, making five saves.
Nazareth returns to action on Saturday when it will travel to St. Lawrence University for a 12 p.m. conteset.
