NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. -- The first two rounds of the Empire 8 Conference men's golf tournament are in the books and Nazareth stands in seventh place with a two-round total of 694. St. John Fisher has a comfortable 13-stroke lead with a team score of 616. Moravian is second at 629, followed by Scranton and Stevens tied for third place with a score of 634. The first two rounds were played at Yahnundasis Golf Club, with rounds three and four scheduled for April 18-19 of 2015 at Hershey Country Club.

Also competing are Elmira (643), Susquehanna (644), Nazareth (694) and Utica (712).

Senior Dan Strack and junior Caleb McGuire were Nazareth's top scorers, each with two-round scores of 169. They are tied for 28th place. Strack had rounds of 82 and 87, while McGuire shot 85 and 84.

Junior Sean de Herder shot 89 each day for a 178 total, good for a tie for 37th place. Also competing for Nazareth were junior Noah Stancampiano (92-88--180); senior Andrew Lund (94-88--182); and junior Zachary Moore (91-93--184).
