HAMBURG, N.Y. -- Tim Zyburt had a match-high 18 kills for visiting Nazareth Wednesday as the ninth-ranked Golden Flyers took a three-set victory over Hilbert in a United Volleyball Conference match. Scores were 25-22, 25-15, 25-18.

Nazareth improved to 5-1 in conference matches and 8-5 overall. Hilbert is 0-5 and 4-16.

Zyburt's 18 kills came against just three hitting errors in 27 attempts for a .556 percentage. He leads the Golden Flyers with 162 kills overall.

Junior Luke Lawatsch added nine kills and three blocks and setters Nick McDonagh and Cody Nelson combined for 35 assists. Freshman Shawn Calnan added five kills and sophomore John McCarty had six digs.

Nazareth had a tidy .402 hitting percentage as a team (42-12-87) while Hilbert hit .241 (30-10-83). Adam Weaver led Hilbert with 16 kills.
