ITHACA, N.Y. -- Junior Hannah Brackley and sophomore Gabrielle Lebihan each bettered their own school records Saturday in women's track and field as the Golden Flyers competed at the Bomber Invitational at Ithaca's Athletics & Events Center.

Brackley finished first in the 400-meter dash with a time of :59.53, marking the first time she has gone under one minute indoors. She improved upon her own school record time of 1:00.03, set Feb. 1 at the Empire 8 Conference meet also at Ithaca. Brackley also finished 11th in the 200-meter dash with a time of :27.07.

Lebihan placed second in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 10:29.86, an improvement upon her previous school mark of 10:32.14 that she produced Jan. 25 at the Spire Open in Ohio.

Sophomore Taylor Pierson finished first in the long jump with a leap of 5.48 meters (17 feet, 11 3/4 inches), her second best jump of the indoor season and less than two inches shy of her school record of 18 feet, 1 inch, set last season.

Other strong performances included a fifth-place finish for junior Michaela Gildemeyer in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:22.81 and a ninth-place finish in the 3,000-meter run for freshman Emily Thompson, who shaved nearly 21 seconds off her previous best time with a clocking of 10:43.79.

Nazareth also finished seventh in the 4 x 200-meter relay with a time of 1:49.61. Sibongile Chisi, Amanda Entress, Pierson and Brackley competed in that event.

In the men's meet, sophomore Luis Rivera broke his own school record with a fifth-place finish in the 35-pound weight throw. His toss of 15.76 meters (51 feet, 8 1/2 inches) was more than 15 inches farther than his previous best of 50 feet, 5 1/4 inches, set in December at RIT.

Senior Zack Lafaver finished 10th in the 800-meter run with a personal best time of 2:00.08.
