Women's resultsLETCHWORTH, N.Y. -- Nazareth's men's and women's cross country teams were back in action Saturday as both competed at the Geneseo Invitational at Letchworth State Park. The Golden Flyers, spearheaded by a 12th-place individual finish by junior
Gabrielle LeBihan, finished in 10th place in the women's 6-kilometer race with 287 points. The men's team finished in 18th place with 551 points.
LeBihan broke the Nazareth school record for 6 kilometers with a time of 22:17.9, eclipsing a time of 22:37 by Jessica Brown in 2007. LeBihan also ran more than a minute faster than her time of 23:32.1 from the Yellowjacket Invitational at Genesee Valley Park two weeks ago. Geneseo's Cassie Goodman won the race in 21:29.4.
Other top performers for the Golden Flyers included sophomore
Emily Thompson in 34th place (22:54.2); junior
Robin Wagner in 106th place (24:13.0); freshman
Kimmy Lovett in 107th place (24:13.6); and sophomore
Jamie DiSalvo in 115th place (24:21.0). Other competitors were senior
Michaela Gildemeyer in 149th place (24:48.5); junior
Blair Meeson in 179th place (25:11.9); freshmen
Claire Ludington in 186th place (25:19.3) and
Andrea Larnard in 195th place (25:30.5) and senior
Kassandra Lathrop in 249th place (27:35.2).Â
In the men's race, freshman Kevin Witt was the Golden Flyers' top finisher in the 8-kilometer race with a time of 27:31.1 for 141st place. Sophomroe Jacob Murray was next in 155th place (27:48.2), followed by junior Patrick Neureuter in 176th place (28:06.3) and sophomore Matt Battaglia in 184th place (28:17.7). Other Nazareth runners were sophomore Ethan Osborne in 240th place (30:14.2); sophomore Tommy Lannon in 246th place (30:32.9) and freshman Kristopher Newell in 252nd place (30:56.8).
