BROCKPORT, N.Y. -- Sophomore Briana Vibbard scored twice for the Golden Flyers in the first half Saturday as visiting Nazareth held off Brockport in a non-conference women's soccer match, 2-1. The victory was the second of the weekend for the Golden Flyers, who also defeated Geneseo Friday, 2-0.

Nazareth improved to 2-1-1 overall, while Brockport lost for the first time to slip to 3-1.

Both of Vibbard's goals were unassisted and came within a 10-minute stretch of the first half to give Nazareth the lead. Brockport rallied on a goal by Vanessa Gillette with less than seven minutes left, but the Golden Flyers stayed in front the rest of the way.

Nazareth had a 20-18 advantage in shots and senior goalie Abbie Carey was called upon to make seven saves.

Nazareth plays two more road games next weekend as the Golden Flyers visit St. Lawrence Friday and Clarkson Saturday.
