MACEDON, N.Y. -- Nazareth's women's golf team rallied Sunday to take second place at the Empire 8 Conference Tournament played at Blue Heron Hills Country Club.

The Golden Flyers produced a team score of 400 Sunday for a two-round total of 815 to overtake St. John Fisher for second place. Ithaca dominated the tournament by having the top five finishers to win with a team score of 627. Nazareth (815) was next, followed by Fisher (822) and Elmira (876).

Junior Jennifer Lachell paced the Golden with rounds of 87 and 92 for a 179 total, good for a tie for seventh place individually. Sophomore Meaghan Porter had Nazareth's low round Sunday with an 89 to combine with Saturday's 97 for a 186 total. Both Lachell and Porter represented Nazareth as second-team all-conference selections.

Sophomore Anouluck Chanthabandith (112-96 -- 208) and senior Alyssa Moffat (119-123 -- 242) also competed for the Golden Flyers.
