NEW PALTZ, N.Y. -- Top-ranked Nazareth continued its domination in men's volleyball Sunday as the Golden Flyers recorded a three-set sweep over SUNYIT in a United Volleyball Conference match played at SUNY New Paltz. Scores were 25-18, 25-18, 25-12.
The victory was the third of the weekend for the Golden Flyers, who extended their overall record to 22-0, including a 10-0 mark in conference matches. SUNYIT is 6-13 overall and 0-9 in UVC matches.
Nazareth had little difficulty with the Wildcats as senior libero-turned-outside hitter
Dan Mowery posted nine kills, six service aces and seven digs. Junior
Cole Hutter added nine kills and sophomore

John McCarty each had six. McDonagh and freshman
Chris George combined for 33 assists.
The Golden Flyers hit .377 as a team with 42 kills against 13 hitting errors in 77 attempts.
The three weekend wins enabled the Golden Flyers to clinch the top seed for next month's UVC Tounament. Nazareth will host the event April 13-14. The Golden Flyers are off until March 20 when they visit D'Youville for a 7 p.m. match.
