ERIE, Pa. -- Freshman Tim Zyburt had 12 kills and was one of four Nazareth players to register a double-digit kill total Wednesday as second-ranked Nazareth remained unbeaten in men's volleyball with a four-set victory over host Penn State Behrend. Scores were 25-11, 25-20, 22-25, 25-13.

The Golden Flyers improved to 15-0 overall and 6-0 in United Volleyball Conference matches. Penn State Behrend is 8-8 overall and 2-5 in conference play.

Zyburt's 12 kills came with just one hitting error in 28 attempts for a .393 hitting percentage. Freshman Grant Levermore added 11 kills, while junior Cole Hutter and senior Robert Kraft each had 10. Senior setter EJ Wells-Spicer had 53 assists, two aces and seven digs. Seniors Alex Houghtalen and Dan Mowery also had seven digs each.

The Golden Flyers surged to a 7-1 lead in the first set and were never seriously challenged. Levermore had six of his kills in the second set as Nazareth built a commanding two-set advantage. Zyburt added four kills in the fourth set as Nazareth prevailed. Zyburt has a team-best 143 kills for the season to go with a .414 hitting percentage. Levermore is second on the team with 103 kills.

Nazareth is on the road again Friday to play a non-conference match at third-ranked Juniata at 6 p.m. Nazareth also is home Saturday for two matches -- Penn State Altoona at 3 p.m., followed by Milwaukee School of Engineering at 5:30 p.m.
