LETCHWORTH, N.Y. -- Sophomore
Gabrielle LeBihan posted a personal-best time Saturday to lead Nazareth to 19th place overall at the NCAA Division III Atlantic Regional Cross Country Championships at Letchworth State Park.
LeBihan ran a time of 22:43.7 in the 6-kilometer race to finish in 40th place. She ran 14 seconds faster than her previous best time on the same course in October. She was just six seconds behind Jessica Brown's school record time of 22:37 set in 2007 at Van Cortlandt Park.
Nazareth finished in 19th place in the team standings with a team score of 491. New York University won the event with 97 points, followed by St. Lawrence (103), The College of New Jersey (148), Geneseo (149) and Oneonta (177). Grace Tilton of Rensselaer was the individual champion as she crossed the finish line in 21:07.
