ROCHESTER, NY -- Visiting Rochester Yellowjackets defeated Nazareth College 7-2 in a non-conference field hockey match-up.  The Yellowjackets scored six straight goals to break a 1-1 tie and earn their second win of the season.  They improve to 2-0 while Nazareth falls to 1-1.

Rochester's Belle Hoagland scored the first goal of the game off an assist from Shelby Hall at 7:29.  The Golden Flyers' answered with an unassisted goal at 12:03 by senior Kailee O'Hara.  At 19:14 Hall scored her first of three goals in a 6-0 run in which Michelle Relin also scored three times. 

The Yellowjackets had the 7-1 advantage as time expired however Nazareth was awarded a penalty corner.  Jordan Ritchie scored with 00:00 left on the clock to make the final score 7-2.

Rochester held a commanding 28-6 advantage in shots and 11-3 advantage in penalty corners.  Madison Wagner started in goal for the Yellowjackets and had two saves and allowed one goal in 54:21.  Tara Lamberti finished the game making one save and allowing one goal.  Nazareth's Shannon Winney played all 70 minutes and had 11 saves in cage. 

Nazareth is home again this Saturday, September 8th.  They host Washington & Jefferson in the Empire 8 opener for both teams.
