BETHELHEM, Pa. -- The women's and men's cross country teams were in action again on Friday at the 39th Annual Paul Short Run, hosted by Lehigh University. Senior
Kelsey Ryan was the top finisher for the women's team as she placed 27th overall in the women's college White six-kilometer race. Ryan finished the course with a time of 24:18. In the men's college White eight-kilometer race, senior
Pete Fekete was Nazareth's top finisher in 28th place, with a time of 27:20.
The women finished eighth overall of 34 teams in their race with a combined score of 247 points. Washington & Lee won the race with a total score of 59 points, followed by Eastern Mennonite with 88 points, and Lebanon Valley with 178 team points.
Following Ryan, freshman
Shanna Swanson was Nazareth's second finisher in 35th place (24:36), and junior
Lauren Heitzhaus was the third in 48th place and a time of 24:51. Heitzhaus was followed by freshman
Bridget Dunbar in 68th (25:33), junior
Kayleigh Olive in 83rd place (25:56), senior
Lauren Jamieson in 84th (25:59), and senior
Kayla Murphy in 85th (26:01).

Courtney Pitman and sophomore
Michaela Gildemeyer rounded out the Golden Flyers' runners in 89th place and 110th place, respectively. Pitman's time was 26:11, and Gildemeyer finished in 26:34.
In the men's meet, the Golden Flyers competed with four runners, which prevented Nazareth from compiling a team score. Ramapo won the race with a combined score of 107 points, followed by the University of Mary Washington with 125 points, and RIT with 149 points.

Josh Strough placed 138th with a time of 29:34. Freshman
Patrick Neureuter was 151st with a time of 29:48, and junior
Jake Lafaver placed 215th with a time of 31:04.
Nazareth's women's team also competed at Roberts Wesleyan's Harvey F. Anderson Invitational and finished eighth in the 10-teram field. Junior
Bethany Althaus was the Golden Flyers' top finisher in 39th place. She sovered five kilometers in 20:48.
The Golden Flyers are in action again on October 6th when Nazareth competes at the Hamilton Invitational.
