CLIFTON SPRINGS, N.Y. -- Paced by back to back scores of 91 from freshman
Kelley Citrin, Nazareth's women's golf team turned in a second-place finish over the weekend at the William Smith Invitational, played at Clifton Springs Country Club.
Citrin finished third individually with a two-day total of 182, just three strokes behind medalist Emilie Oakes of LeMoyne. The Dolphins won the team title with a two-day stroke total of 759. Nazareth was second with 791. Other teams competing were William Smith (797), Manhattanville (919), Elmira (929) and St. John Fisher (978).
Other competitors for Nazareth included freshman
Anouluck Chanthabandith, who placed sixth with scores of 99 and 94 for a 193 total; freshmen
Meaghan Porter, who placed 13th with rounds of 105 and 99 for a 204 total; junior
Alyssa Moffat, who finished 20th with rounds of 106 and 113 for a 219 total; and senior
Mindy Fowler, who placed 22nd with scores 110 and 116 for a 226 total. Sophomore
Jennifer Lachell shot 99 in Saturday's first round before withdrawing.
