BEAUFORT, S.C. -- Freshman Jennifer Lachell was Nazareth's top finisher Tuesday as the Nazareth women's golf team opened its second-semester schedule at the Taylor Made-adidas Invitationjal at Dataw Island Golf Club.

Nazareth finished fifth in the team standings with a 36-hole stroke total of 832. Centenary of New Jersey won the event with a score of 701. Ohio Wesleyan (805) was a distant second, followed by Savannah State (812), College of Wooster (826) and Nazareth.

Lachell finished in sixth place individually with rounds of 95 and 93 for a two-round total of 188. Sophomore Anne Czelusniak finished in 14th place with scores of 101 and 107 for a 208 total. Other competitors were sophomore Jamie Schmidt, who finished 15th (104-106 -- 210); junior Mindy Fowler, who finished 22nd with rounds of 114 and 112 for a 226 total; and sophomore Alyssa Moffat, who finished 24th with scores of 124 and 119 for a 243 total.
