Jay Stith was Nazareth top individual finisher Tuesday as Nazareth's men's golf team completed the final round of competition at the 54-hole Taylor Made-adidas Invitational at Dataw Island Golf Club.
Nazareth finished eighth in the team standings with a 54-hols total of 1072. Guilford won the event with 942. Wake Tech Community College, Hampden-Sydney, Washington & Lee, Mt. St. Joseph's, Shenandoah and Ohio Wesleyan also competed.
Stith posted scores of 85, 78 and 81 on the 6,761-yars layout for a three-round total of 244, good for 10th place individually. Guilford's Noah Ratner won the event with rounds of 77, 76, and 78 for a 231 stroke total.
Other Nazareth competitors were freshman
Dan Strack, who finsihed 26th with rounds of 86, 84 and 86 for a 256 total; senior
Colin Doran, who placed 46th with rounds of 89, 98 and 93 for a 280 total; sophomore
Nick Polito, who finished 47th with scores of 99, 93 and 101 for a 293 total; and senior
Peter Savino, who finished 48th with scores of 99, 114 and 100 fdor a 313 total.
