GREENVILLE, Pa. -- Nazareth outlasted host Thiel Saturday in a a four-set men's volleyball match at the AVI Invitational. The Golden Flyers also defeated Mount St. Joseph in three sets. Scores vs. Thiel were 25-23, 23-25, 26-24, 25-22. Against Mount St. Joseph scores were 26-24, 25-17, 25-16.
The wins improved Nazareth's record to 4-3 overall. The Golden Flyers entered the weekend tournament ranked fifth nationally in Division III. The Golden Flyers play two more matches Sunday -- vs. Stevnson at 9 a.m. and vs. Eastern Mennonite at 11 a.m. All the matches can be accessed through a web cast at the following link:

Against Thiel, senior
Billy Gimello produced 12 kills and six blocks and senior
Ellis Walsh added 10 kills and four blocks.
Junior
Dan Mowery was a defensive contributor with 15 digs and junior setter
EJ Wells-Spicer totaled 44 assists.
Freshman Bordy Cord led the Golden Flyers in the second match with 11 kills. Senior
Dan Miranda added nine kills and five blocks and Wells-Spicer had 33 assists with seven digs. Freshman
Nick McDonagh contributed seven kills and nine digs.
