Tyler Woodward was Nazareth's top individual finisher Sunday as ther Golden Flyers opened their 2011 men's golf season at the Utica Fall Invitational at Kanon Valley Country Club.
Nazareth finished with a 332 stroke total to finish in a tie for fourth place with Hobart. Scranton captured the team title with a score of 302. Elmira (312) was second, then Stevens (327).
Woodward shot 77 on the par-72 layout to finish in a tie for fifth place individually. Junior
Jay Stith was next for the Golden Flyers in a tie for seventh place with a score of 79. Scranton's Chas Hudacek won medalist honors with a 2-under-par 70.
Other Nazareth finishers were senior
Colin Doran with an 82; senior
Peter Savino with 94; sophomore
Nick Polito with 94 and freshman 3Dan Strack# with 97.
