ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Nazareth's women's volleyball team made short work of a pair of opponents Friday during day one of the RIT Invitational. The Golden Flyers inched over the .500 mark for the season with dominating three-set wins over Brockport and St. Lawrence.
Nazareth defeaated Brockport by scores of 25-10, 25-21, 25-20 and followed that up with a 25-19, 25-17, 25-23 sweep of St. Lawrence to improve to 6-5 overall. The Golden Flyers play two more matches Saturday -- vs. Buffalo State at 2 p.m. and vs. Rochester at 4 p.m.
Against Brockport, freshman
Kassandra Buseck posted a career-best nine kills on 16 swings for a .562 hitting percentage. Freshman
Maria Allocco combined five kills with seven service aces and two blocks. Senior
Leah Farrell also had five kills and six digs.
Against St. Lawrence, Farrell had seven kills and senior

Chelsea Beecher each added six. Junior
Aubrey Cooke had 28 assists.
