BROCKPORT, NY- Nazareth and host Brockport played to a scoreless 0-0 tie in a non-conference women's soccer game. Brockport is now 2-1-1, Nazareth is now 1-0-2. Both teams wore pink in their jerseys and all proceeds from the game will be donated to the James P. Wilmot Cancer Center.
Nazareth out-shot the Golden Eagles 5-1 in 20 minutes of overtime play but could not find the back of the net.
Erica Conte finished with a team high five shots including three in overtime.
At the end of regulation both teams had 11 shots but Brockport had an 8-3 advantage of shots on goal. The Golden Flyers had a slight 5-2 advantage on penalty corners. Nazareth's
Abbie Carey had eight saves in goal to record her second career shutout in as many games. Erin Asquith finished with five saves for the Golden Eagles.
The Golden Flyers host non-conference opponent Geneseo in their home opener Wednesday, September 14 at 4:30 p.m.
